Welcome to The Leukemia Cup Regatta!
The Leukemia Cup Series consists of 3 events on the Potomac that bring together the National Capital Area sailing and boating community to raise funds The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The 17th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta, The 4th Annual Poker Run & the 3rd Annual Leukemia Cup Jr. Regatta are all fundraising competitions that combine the joy of sailing and boating with the important task of raising money to fight blood cancers. This year, our goal is to raise $200,000 through The Leukemia Cup Series! The Leukemia Cup Regatta will celebrate it's 17th year at the Washington Sailing Marina the weekend of September 10th & 11th! Sailors bring their boats, large and small, out to the Potomac River to race with either the PHRF class or among the One-Design classes. By raising a sail, you help draw attention to our event and make a bold statement that you are supporting the fight against blood cancer! The Old Dominion Boat Club will once again host The Leukemia Cup Poker Run for power boaters of all speeds! Boats travel to different stops along the Potomac to pick up playing cards. Upon their return to ODBC and completion of the course, hands are compared and prizes are awarded to the top 3 poker hands. Top prizes and accolades go to the highest fundraiser within the group! Participants are recommended to buy additional poker hands to increase their odds! The 3rd Annual Leukemia Cup Jr. Regatta will once again take place in partnership with The Sailing School at the Washington Sailing Marina. We look forward to having our youngest sailors join us again for another successful year of combining their sailing lessons with giving back to the community! These are fun, social events that you don’t want to miss!
